Sophie Haboo and Jamie Laing Tie the Knot

21/04/2023

As a bit of a superfan of the TV series Made In Chelsea ever since it first aired in 2011, I can't help but absolutely love witnessing couples from the reality show tie the knot. First in line to the alter were Millie Mackintosh and Huge Taylor, then it was Lucy Watson (who I call queen of MIC) and James Dunmore, followed by Ollie and Gareth Locke. The list is growing eek!
But now let's get to the good stuff as we take a closer look into Sophie - better known as ''Habbs'' (Told you I was a super fan) and Jamie's big day.

Jamie and Habbs are both favourite Made in Chelsea cast members, and dated a few other people on the show before settling down together.  After weeks of watching the will-they, won't-they back and forth on Made in Chelsea, Season 17 of the reality show saw the couple finally make things official. Fast forward 6 years, on 14th April 2023 they marry at Chelsea registry office. The day looked amazing, with designer gowns, a huge party and a second ceremony planned for later in the year.

Habbs. A Real Life Princess

The dress, the heels and...oh! The bag!

Now, a corset-style mini dress at the back might not be to everyone's taste, but I think she looked drop dead...CHIC. Sophie's satin Vivienne Westwood dress (worth £3.8k) delicately pieces together by Emma Beaumont was the perfect fit to the couple's town hall themed wedding. As a bride, she really did think about everything when it came to the accessories; pairing her dress with a detailed bow veil by Gigi & Olive, incredible Jimmy Choo pointed heels and a gorgeous Sophia Webster classic "Wifey for Lifey" clutch.

The Hair

Styled into an enviably bouncy blow-dry that boasted an impossibly glossy finish, it's fair to say Sophie's bridal look hit the mark. The man responsible? Willis Galbraith   https://www.instagram.com/willisgalbraithhair/ – a hairdresser with a legion of celebrity clients including Leonie Hanne and Hanna Cross. Hair up or down, we all knew Habbs would look amazing, but there's just something about a blow dry, and this one definitely took my breath away. Let's  be honest,it's all everyone's talking about!

Who did her makeup?

The MIC and podcast host star, who has been documenting her wedding day beauty treatments over on Instagram (a choice that would have looked perfectly at home in an episode of Sex and The City) looked effortlessly beautiful as she stepped out of the wedding car. Her accompanying make-up done by her sister Georgia (who isn't actually a makeup artist which is again, just cool!) was bronzed and dewy just like what most modern-day brides love. The radiance was no doubt the result of her strict attitude towards sun care, her failsafe skincare routine and the base products I suspect she wore on her wedding day.

And Jamie?

I can't say I've managed to find out exactly who Jamie wore as he rocked a double-breasted navy suit with black shoes and tie, but what I do know is that he got it so right as we see them together post-cermony...just WOW! After saying their 'I Dos' and officially becoming Mr and Mrs, the loved-up duo looked the picture of cool as they posed outside the registry office while sporting their shades.

After the ceremony, the wedding party went on to enjoy a meal at Stanley's Restaurant in Chelsea. Jamie shared the menu to his Instagram story, which included asparagus and quail egg, burrata with harissa, and trout for starters, followed by mains of miso squash, cod or steak. The pudding was wedding cake, of course!
Following on from their London ceremony, it's rumoured that May 19th 2023 is set to be the official date of Sophie and Jamie's wedding in Seville, Spain and I can't wait to see it and write about it all over again.

Are we going to see a long dress? Will Jamie wear a full suit in the Spanish sun? Will we know who the glam team are? So many questions!!
