My Top 6 Luxury Makeup Picks for Radiant, Flawless, Healthy Skin

It is important at the trial and on the wedding morning to discuss any sensitivities & problem areas, to decide on the perfect products to use. After buying and trying so many different products from countless skin care brands, I personally feel this routine suits most skin types. By following this step - by - step routine, cleansing to make-up application, results are a beautiful finish.
Step 1: Odacite Blue Aura Cleansing Water
You may or may not already use a cleansing water in your day-to-day routine, so you won't need me to tell you, but a cleansing water is a great way to freshen and wake up the skin once you've washed your face in the morning. Infused with organic aloe vera juice this mineral, anti-oxidant rich ingredient helps to calm, hydrate and create a radiant glow, which is exactly what we're trying to achieve as a base for your bridal makeup. It smells divine too!

Step 2/ Kora Organic Balancing Rose Mist
Mists, rose mists, balancing mists, hydrating mists, purifying mists, are all amazing and an essential in my personal skin-prep every day. I couldn't live without one! After using a water based toner, anything you then apply onto the skin is going to travel a lot quicker into the pores, so I believe in using a beautiful gentle mist for a little extra boost of hydration whilst the skin is clean and clear. Rose ingredient has an instant calming effect on puffiness and redness so if you're not going to be getting much sleep the night before your wedding day (which is totally normal), trust me I've got you covered!
How to use:
Take the mist and spritz a couple of inches away from your face, in line with your forehead. This way the mist will gradually fall onto the face and softly sit on the surface of your skin. Just don't spray it too close!

Before I jump into step 3, I should mention your wedding day is absolutely the only day you can get away with avoiding wearing SPF. Whether you're someone who wears SPF through your foundation, or through your moisturiser, the bulky particles don't sit well on the skin for one, but more importantly it disagrees with the camera causing some serious back-flash, which in turn makes you look as white as a sheep! Its not a good look for anyone...
Step 3: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
Who would have thought there was a special way for putting on moisturiser? Start by using your middle and ring fingers to apply the moisturiser upwards and outwards, from the bridge of your nose and across your cheeks in an angel-wing motion. Avoid rubbing too harshly as this can prevent the product from working its own way into the skin. Use your same fingers to work the product from the centre of the forehead outwards in circular motions to target furrows in your skin.

Step 4: Becca Cosmetics Backlight Priming Filter
This primer is absolutely one of my favourites. It helps to create a blank canvas for makeup by blurring imperfections and diffusing the light for a gorgeous complexion at the same time as pro-longing your makeup durability. The best thing about it is its pearlescent finish which completely lifts the glow on your skin.
How to use:
Take 1-2 pumps onto the highest points of your face: top of cheeks, chin, centre of nose between the eyes and centre of the forehead. Pat and press onto these areas for an effortless glow.

Step 4: NARS Sheer Glow foundation
Not only do I think this is the 'Holy Grail' of foundations for brides, its just amazing for all ages, completely buildable and super light weight on the skin. What more could you want? This foundation grants sheer yet buildable coverage and a glowing, luminous finish, perfect for all skin types it evens out tone immaculately.
How to apply:
Starting from the centre of the face, take half a pump of foundation from your hand onto a dense blending brush. I personally love to use this one from E.l.f Cosmetics. It's really affordable for anyone wanting to achieve a seamless finish:
.Starting from the centre of your face, work the foundation into the skin in a stippling (tapping) motion to the outer edges of your face. DON'T wipe the foundation. This will create a heavy mess and build up coverage where you don't need it.
Then (because I'm an OCD perfectionist) take a damp beauty blender and gently press all over the skin. This just really guarantees a beautiful finish to your base. The trick is to look as though you're hardly wearing anything! If you have any textured, problem areas where you need extra coverage, take a little more product and tap gently until you're satisfied.

Step 4: Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer
Free from oil this is a beautiful medium to full coverage concealer that promises not to crease throughout the day and this is exactly what we need for you extra-long day being your wedding day! Whether you have dark circles, sunspots or scars, the concealer is powerful enough to blur and hide them without feeling heavy. With a Blurring Powder Blend, light is diffused to give you an airbrushed look all over and will stay in place for up to 12 hours. You're sure to be free from and water, humidity, sweat and unwanted transfers.
How to apply: Dot the concealer under the eyes, over discolorations and imperfections, and onto any areas of darkness. Depending on your preference, you can either take your fingertip and tap into the skin. The warmth of your finger will blend the product beautifully, although if you prefer a brush I recommend taking a fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend the concealer seamlessly.
Step 5: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder
A product I'm not quite sure how I lived without! Because of its micro-fine particles it sits so smoothly on every skin type. Previous brides with particularly dry skin would worry wearing powder would give that 'flaky, cakey' finish to the skin, but fear not! This is a multi-tasking product that doesn't only sort any midday t-zone shine and blur visible fine lines, its nourishing rose wax and almond oil encourage the powder to sit on the skin without a trace of it in sight.
How to use:
Swipe a small powder brush across the product, tap off the excess off the corner of the lip and blend underneath eyes, t-zone and underneath cheekbones. One-two swipes of product onto the brush should be enough to keep that foundation in place all day.
